Heart Rimu End Grain Boards
These boards have been handcrafted from recycled native timber—no two boards will ever be the same, as each grain pattern is uniquely beautiful. You may notice the occasional blemish, a testament to the timber’s previous life spanning over a century. It’s a privilege to transform this wood into a functional piece that continues its story, rather than ending up as landfill or firewood.
This board measures 500mm x 345mm x 40mm thick. The handles are rebated into the sides, allowing both surfaces to be used.
Each board is sanded to a fine finish and coated in our special handcrafted wood butter. The main ingredient is beeswax, which is also available for purchase on our website.
These native trees would have grown in their natural environment for hundreds of years before being felled for timber. Caring for this item is essential: wash (don’t soak), allow to dry, and store in a cool, dry place. When the board needs conditioning, apply a coat or two of our wood wax.
